PilotCold-room monitoring
Cold-room temperature and door on your phone, with an alert when something is wrong.
The problem
A cold room with meat hanging to age does not tolerate many hours above temperature. A door left ajar, a compressor that stops or a defrost that runs long, and a whole batch can be ruined before anyone sees it.
A plain thermostat alarm fires on every door opening and every defrost, so it gets switched off. And there is no record of how many degree-days a batch actually got.
What the system does
- Three temperature probes and a door contact over LoRaWAN or NB-IoT, battery powered, no wiring in the room.
- Alerts only once the room has been too warm for a while, not on every door opening. Push to the phone.
- Dry-aging as degree-days, computed from what the room actually measured, per batch hanging.
How it fits together
-
01
Three probes: the room, outside air and evaporator return, plus a door contact. That is how defrost is told apart from a real problem.
-
02
LoRaWAN to a gateway, or NB-IoT over the mobile network. Battery powered, no wiring in the room.
-
03
Dashboard with the room in 3D, 24 hours of history and degree-days per batch. Push to the phone.
